I used these little studies of song birds to try out different ink techniques ranging from pen, brush, combination of pen and brush, and ink washes with brush.
Each presented it's challenges, but overall I liked the Goldfinch study because it feels strongest.
My biggest challenge was to simplify a design and leave out detail.
Working to finish my main project with less detail. I love the look of black and white.
Enjoying the relaxing challenge of inking.
